Fund Structure

The Goldrath Family Charitable Fund is a donor-advised fund set up by Kristi and Jonathon Goldrath in partnership with the Long Island Community Foundation. The Long Island Community Foundation works to preserve and improve the quality of life for all Long Islanders by connecting past, present, and future generations with nonprofits working in our area to make a healthy, equitable, and thriving community.

Why S.T.E.M.?

“We wanted to focus on S.T.E.M.-based learning as it was a huge part of our foundational development. We were both lucky enough to have teachers who instilled within us a scientific lens through which to look at the world and an unbounded sense of curiosity. These values live within our family today. Although we didn’t end up working in scientific endeavors, our experiences with organizations like Science Olympiad and the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair changed our lives. Not all children are lucky enough to have these experiences and opportunities and we would like to change that - for them and for all of our futures.”
